Hmmm. I'll simply ask.......Can I lift the car without damage from the center of either the front or rear frame crossmember?
Thanks, Craig

Sure you can. Be careful on the front one, tho. It is very thin on the bottom, and can "cave in" if you jack too quickly. It's best to use a 2X4 block under it, but...unless the car is already up a wee bit, you can't get a block-o-wood under there, and a jack!!
Jack away, just take it slow. Be sure to use jack stands once you get it up(the car).

Thanks Joel. I have about 1/4" between the jack pad and the crossmember, so I'll slip a 1/4" plate in there and still go slow. I was concerned about undue stresses by using only one point, which is most convenient.

You shouldn't have any probs, Craig. I jack up like that all the time.
