I'm well past the age of having a stereo that will make your ears bleed and my favorite song does not go THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP. I do like to crank up a good cruizin' tune when I go for a ride tho. Not that this question has anything to do with car stereos. Does anyone use a hidden antenna? I have to replace my antenna and I would like to get rid of it altogether. Now, I don't listen to much radio, 99% of the time I listen to Mp3's, but it would be nice to have that option.

Oops, sorry I need to be more specific. I'm going to get rid of the hole where the antenna used to be. I have seen antennas that they hide somewhere in/under/around the car. You don't see them at all.

Anyone use one, how well does it work?

Crutchfield carries what you want. I've never used one but have heard good things about them.

On a plastic car, the radio antenna needs a ground plane to function properly...which is why they have that big gaudy plate under them. Not sure if what you posted will work ok or not.
The '53-'55 Corvettes DID have a hidden antenna.....it was simply a wire embedded into the 'glass of the rear deck lid. They dint work all that well, either....

I didn't even think of that. I'm going to have someone install the radio and antenna unless I have to use the original style antenna. Then it's all me...maybe
