Topic: Car show compliments
in Forum: C3 General Discussion
Hi guys/gals,
I have to share this about my newly restored '77: I went to a local car show tonight and there were some pretty sweet rides there 37' F##d hot rod, mint condition 'CUDA, GTO Judge, a super Bee....you get the Idea. so I pull in and pop the hood jump out set the seat belts just so,and all that show stuff you do,and walk way over to the Cuda I turn around and some people are back over there hemmin & hawin' over the Vette (to be honest it was the only vette there) but any way I go back over maybe to answer some questions about the car. everyone
really liked it all the dressing under the hood and the interior. one boy and his Dad were like that is the nicest Vette I"ve seen. I was really taken back, this was my first show so I didnt really know wht to say except thanks alot, but it made me feel real good 'cause its come along way.
I didn't win anything because of the other way nicer cars there but that was good enough for me 'ya know?

Rod' car shows, lots of amazing muscle and rods and very cool people.
We are usually the only Vettes in the shows too (we both have '72's) and
we get lots of attention (and picture takers). I say keep doing the mixed
car shows, if you can find another C3 to join you, call it a club and you'll
always get to park in the club area. Bring some chairs, and sit back and
watch the fun as people stumble over themselves to check out the
(ultimate in cool) Corvette! If you ever get out West, you're always
welcome to join our club at a show! We have lots of Spring/summer all
day events (there should be a lot in your area too).
Having people admire your car is a great feeling. I have been there in the past with other cars. Nothing that was a show winner. I know I will turn some heads when I get some paint on mine and have it on the road.
Congrats!
