I am a relatively new Corvette owner. I hate to sound dumb (so what's new??)but what/where/when/how/who is Carlisle?
It sounds like a big event but I am unaware of it.
Thanks to all for information.

Go to www.carsatcarlisle.com, then select the "Corvettes at Carlisle" event. I posted another thread on here to get a comparison of this event to the "Bloomington Gold" event. Sounds like Bloomington is a cool event for those interested in cars restored to exact factory original specs (ala NCRS) and Carlisle is for those like myself that like originals but also the variety of customs. I am going to Carlisle.

I just got back from Carlisle a little while ago...was well worth it as always. This being the first day, not everything was completely set up, but it wasn't as crowded as later in the week either.
All I picked up was some accessories, but did find a source for some parts I do need. It was worth it just for that.

Mickey,
Just so this is clear, go to the web site mentioned above. Gunslinger must have gone to the "Spring Carlisle", which is not specific to Vettes. Carlisle has lots of events. I was referring to the Vette specific event in August.

Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!
Gunslinger,
Is "Easy Earl" there, or Bair's Corvette? I'm planning to go there on Friday, and I love to deal with these two guys.
Earl is a real trip. He specializes in the "Blue Bin" all in a row. This is where I found my door lock/latch guts for my vette. The catalogs have them as an NOS/disc. part, for $280.00 each......Easy Earl's price...."Just give me $20 each, kid, okay?" Go home, clean 'em up, and I'm golden.
Man, I live for looking through those blue bins.
Glad you had a good trip.

Gribble...
I really didn't pay attention to the names of most of the vendors, though one couldn't miss Corvette Central's tent. There are others, but like I said, I really didn't get their names. I wasn't just looking for Corvette parts...either way, it was good as always.

They are both there. Talked to Earl yesterday. Couldn't help with the 70 parts I needed.
Saw Bairs but they were not set up. Keen was there. Got to meet Mr. Keen. He showed be his new CD catalog with great diagrams. Good Folks.
Met with a guy from Phila. had a complete nice set of original ignition shielding with NOS lowers he sold me for one hundred bucks. Thought that was a decent deal.
If anyone is going up I am looking for an excellent original pair of black pillar mouldings for my 70. Feel free to call me on my cell phone if the are priced right. 301-440-0838.
Have fun! The real show for Vettes only is in August.
