Vette(s): 1972 Corvette Coupe. 350/200 Automatic with PS/PB/PW and A/C. Beautiful Bryar Blue. Unmolested original. Shooting for NCRS Top Flight someday.
I was telling my brother about the posting entitled "Forgotten Dreams" and he told me about this web site.  If you haven't seen it before then get your hankies out as it is disturbing to us real car guys.  Especially check out the Chevrolet section and look for the sad old "forgotten" CorvettesCry

Don't say I didn't warn ya!

Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
Hurts to look at those.

My brother-in-law's '70 AMX has been sitting in a barn for 25 years.  I have tried to buy it from him a couple of time - "Nope, not for sale.  I'm going to put it back on the road someday."  Then he goes out and buys a '07 Shelby Mustang GT500 to play with (still won't sell the AMX even tho' he carps about the car payment on the 'Stang.  Go figure!).  As the make-over of "BIGBRRD" progressed he seemed to perk-up a little and started making a few comments about resurrecting the AMX.  When I get the call to help him move it is when I'll believe it.

And it hurts to go up to the place where I have "The Toy" stored.  There are some wonderful cars that have been in there for years and haven't moved.  I asked the gal about a few of them and she said some are "lifers".  Been there since they opened the place and as long as she gets a rent check twice a year the cars will continue "doing time".  What a shame.

Wow, that is sad. Maybe some of them will get a "good" owner some day.
