Don't know if anyone else here watched it, but by pure happenstance I saw a segment on the "Today" show this morning featuring a cruise up the California coastline, along the Pacific Coast Highway, by their correspondent in a gorgeous red '72 roadster. Top down the whole way.

The segment showcased the car really well. If you're familiar with this road, describing it as "curvy" doesn't do it justice. Viewing that Shark negotiating the bends with elegance and ease was just great.

At the end, the correspondent said, "I'm really going to miss this car."

I think we all could understand what he meant!

Nice national network coverage for our generation of Corvettes...

I grew up on the east coast Connecticut, Mass., Maine, all the coast in New England can't compare to the Pacific Coast line Thumbs%20Up

From my personal experience, having driven in both directions numerous times like Daniel has (happily, always in a Corvette!), I'd say South to North. I just think you get a better overall perspective that way. You're looking out predominantly towards the Pacific as you drive, and that way you're catching the full sweep of both the coastline and the grandeur of the ocean itself.

Either way though, it's a real beauty. Like Cilrah, I grew up on the East coast, and there's nothing that can really compare to the Pacific Coast Highway. Especially traveling it in a Vette!

Hope any of you that haven't had the chance yet to make this trip get to do so--in your own!
