Most likely your Q-Jet is leaking in the middle of the bottom, where the casting plugs are. You can take off the base plate and seal over the plugs with good epoxy. That usually solves most Q-jet problems. If you do replace it, be sure you keep the original for when it is important to someone down the road.

Thanks for the info !!!!
Just goes to show duct tape and good epoxy will fix anything.

It was actually running good before the rebuild, just a little rough idling but the engine sat still and never moved, now it shakes like the 77. I piad good money to make it shake though.

First of all , did you ask your wife if you could go anywhere?

Thursday is the official Woooooo Hoooo they are putting the garage doors up day. Other than that I plan to sit here and wait for the big snow to come in Thursday night. They are supposed to be here about 9:30.
Get up early and head on down!
I spent a good part of the day watching the guy on the Bobcat carve me out a trailer parking spot beside the garage and then I went to the music store to pick up a bass guitar that was being worked on, it had a scratchy pot. It was a hard day so I need to rest what i can tomorrow.

I wanted to start wiring the garage tomorrow but I really think I will wait until the framing inspector passes the building.

NOPE......
I have some places I need to visit in the next few days..... Unfortunitly she has to work (much like Suzy). I put new tires on the truck yesterday and I have a "need" to check them out before attaching a trailer to the truck to Hot Springs.... Plus I just bought this GPS unit and I "need" to make sure it is working correctly.
In a former life I was a Land Commisioner so your building of this enormus structure you refer to as a Garage / Doghouse has a certain interst to me....
If you see a balding looking fellow with a Paul Tuttle moustache blasting up your driveway don't shoot.... he ain't lost.....

I'll be watching for you, be sure to call and make sure I didn't wander off somewhere. I just got home from the local pawn shop with more stuff I could have lived without.

Hi Scott, Hey nothing like the rush you get when you hit the brakes and it keeps on going! I had a similar incident when my master cylinder went a couple years ago. Came to a light, hit the brake and told Terry to hang on. Mine is automatic so I down shifted ,rounded the corner and into a parking lot. Was lucky I was going kinda slow.
Glad you made it home without running into anything.
Loosing the brakes can be scary. I lost them in my 88 Suburban last fall after I got my boat and trailer back in the driveway, unhooked the trailer, got in, pushed on the brake and my foot went to the floor. Timing is everything. I don't want to thing about what may have happened if I had still been on the road with the boat pushing from behind. Problem was rusted out brake lines broke loose. Brian - NCM Lifetime Member
