I've got insurance through J.C. Taylor on my Vette. They have several restrictions - you have to have a daily driver and the Vette has to be garaged. They base their underwriting on 2500 miles per year, but they understand that you use it for pleasure driving (aside from car shows only). Thankfully I've never had a claim, but J.C. Taylor has been around forever and we insured our collector cars through them years ago.

Yes! I have American Collectors for both my '66 Impala SS396 convertible and '70 Corvette LS-5 convertible. Total for complete coverage on both is $350 per year for $55,000 coverage.
Testimonial: In February a garage fire destroyed my garage, thousands of dollars in car parts, and my matching numbers '70 Corvette convertible (not the LS-5 I have now). I had it insured for $18,500, which was too low, and American Collectors paid it in full plus an addtional $1000 due to an inflation clause in the policy that I was not aware of. I have heard of another called Grundy or Grundies that has some interesting coverage.

I just switched all my vehicles over to State Farm. I got 25,000 of insurance on my 1970 for $126 a year. They did not ask for an appraisel. When I had Nationwide it was $360 a year. The reason I changed is I was in the market for a sport bike. Nationwide would not insure it. Progressive and just about everyone else wanted 2200 dollars a year. I don't pay that much now for 5 vehicles. State Farm will insure my new bike for 321.00. I thought that was amazing.

I insure all 5 of My Coirvettes plus a 68 SS 396 Chevelle with American Collectors.... A few years ago I drove thru the rear wall of my one garage instead of backing out...
(damn %%$$#& !!) it was with my 79 (only automatic I own)....
Anyway the ONLY problem was having to wait 3 days for American Collectors to get a local qualified adjuster out to my house... They DO NOT use normal Adjusters.. They use
guys who know cars and actually are into cars themselves (at least in the Maryland area... my adjuster was a Mopar guy but he told me the other 2 adjusters that AC uses are both into cars also)...
The lack of adjusters was really not much of a problem
and that was the only problem I had with American Collectors.. The shop that repaired the car is owned by
a fellow Corvette Club member and he told me they gave him no problems at all either...
I was an am completely satisfied...PLUS my rates have not increased a single dime since the accident...

...total yearly cost of insurance is just under 800 bucks
BUT I did have a hell of a time (not really) getting them to insure the 95 as it is actually too new..but they did

I would recommend that you also check out Grundy Worldwide Collector Car Insurance. They have a great financial rating and have been specializing in Colloctor Car Insurance for several decades. They do an "Agreed Upon" value unlike your typical insurance carrier which means that there is no haggling over the payout amount in the event of a total loss. They do not have any mileage restictions, and only require that it is not your daily driver and that it is garaged.
I have American Collectors on two and besides the normal restrictions, American Collectors would not insure unless the car is more than 20 years old. I also have Grundy on a 95. Never a problem with either but never a claim either. Good luck and I recommend some type of collector insurance; much less expensive.

I've got the 68 vette and two Triumph TR6's insured through Haggerty. It is written through CNA. Stated value on all three cars. Premium runs $325.00 per year (all three cars). Have to go through an Independent insurance agent. There are conditions on mileage and they have to be garaged. You have to have another policy on your main driver, I have a 99 Tahoe. Need something to pull the car trailer.
