Vette(s): '75 Stingray Coupe - 350 Bored, Edelbrock Alum. Heads, Performer Intake/ Carb., Harland Sharp Roller Rockers, MSD Ign., XE Comp. Cam, Pete Jackson Gear Drive, Hooker Headers, Side Pipes, TH400, 3000 RPM Stall and 3.55 Rear Gears
I have to let everybody here know we do have some love for Vettes here.
http://www.corvetteclassics-in.com
This gives me an idea, that it might be a good spot to get some pictures of my Vette. I work in peoples homes and I have found everything from 1957 - 2007 Vettes within 2 miles of my house. At least 5 C3s. The guy who founded our local Vette Club in 1971 lives within walking distance from my house. Got to love it, that is how I found a good body shop, dragvette (custom mods) and an air-brush artist.
I think will go with the 2008 Crystal Red paint while adding ghost flames on the hood and by the air ducts on the sides. I am hoping this will look tasteful and not over kill or gaudy. I am setting it up for the air-brush guy to lay out the flames after the first clear coat.
I found some Hot Wheels rims (68 series) and Kumho Ecsta ASX tires. Has anyone tried these tires? I am not real excited about the foreign tire. But they are cheap with a good speed rating and I plan on using them up quick!
I am selling my '31 Chevy 5 Window Coupe to help pay for all this, so I am really trying to make sure I am doing it the way I will like it. I passed the investment stage a couple years ago and now it is just for personal pleasure. Am sure quite a few people can relate to this. I tell my wife if I blow the engine, oh well the fun starts all over again. Can't wait for spring this year!

I have driven by there many times and have wondered if it was ever open. I have never seen any cars in the parking lot. Thanks for the info. Next trip south I will make plans to stop for a while.

Brian- I always wondered the same thing when I saw the empty parking lot.
Dave M.- About the web site, I guess they only tell you they have at least 1 sample of each C1 to C6. With 50 + Vettes.
Steve- Not sure how many times I will be able to make it to the body shop, but I will get some pictures together. I posted the '31 Chevy on HAMB and the same day a guy in North Carolina contacted me (Sold). The same thing happened when I sold my '67 Camaro. Anyway he will pick it up in 2 weeks. I miss that car already.

This was funny. I was answering a question in another post Gene had left. I inserted this link in that post before I looked at the other topics. Then I began to look and I find Gene had posted this in as a topic.
I have been there and it is really a cool place. The story I got was that 2 guys owned all of these cars. They had made it big I thought in the paving or roofing industry.
They had almost 1 car of every year represented when I was there. They also had several celebrity cars. (Joe Don Bakers "Walking Tall vette" and several others I can'[t recall now.
The fellow at the door was super nice to me and took me and my buddy back into the back and let us check out the prep room where they were givin some cars a final once over.
It's a great little place and I would reccomend stopping if your going by there.Tuxblacray 2008-02-04 14:46:50
