Hey Gang,
I was wondering if there was a place to enter the corvette club you may belong to in the profile area so it is displayed with your name & membership type when you make or respond to a topic? (now that's a runon sentence, huh?) This way if there are C3 members relatively close, they could either join that nearby club or organize functions, shows, trips, etc. between their respective clubs. At this time I do not belong to a club in my area.

You can post anything you want in your message as long as it's not lengthy. The is a limit to the number of spaces. But having a separate section may be a decent idea.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I didn't know how the idea would go over. I have another idea regarding mechanics & body shops members have used. Once I have my thoughts sorted out on this idea I'll post it here in the general discussion forum.

Kenny, take a look at my "Profile" at the left...I just added "Member: NCRS, NCRS Texas, Corvette Legends of Texas" to it...
Is this what you were asking about?

On the 'Research' menu tab/page there is a link to the Mechanic Directory. Check it out and see if that is what your were thinking. If so please add info there so other members can benefit from your experience.

Yes. That's great. Even the local corvette club a member belongs to should be listed. This way if you & I are in the same relative area, but different clubs, we might be able to organize trips, shows, etc. on occasion. Not to be pickie, I would list the clubs in a seperate paragraph liked the "Joined" info.

That's what I was looking for. I briefly looked into the mechanic directory. Does it include body shops? If not, maybe one could be created or added to that somehow. I am somewhat suprised that there are only 83 mechanics listed with 841 C3 members. I know that most of us enjoy doing repairs, (myself included), so maybe that's why there aren't many mechanics listed; plus all the great info you can get here to do the job yourself.
Thanks.
