Had one of those "corvette moments" this afternoon that makes you smile. It was a beautiful 65 degree day here in NC. I met Mark "pepsiman" for a short cruise and while traveling down the highway we were joined by a C6 and then in the oncoming lane we met another C3. What more could you ask for, great weather and surrounded by corvettes.

We ventured out to the garage and looked at the cars today.... My youngest daughter brought over another new friend..... He just kept sayin those are cool..... That was the best I could do with family over.
Even still that was a pretty good feeling watchin the youngster eyeball them. Even better when he finally said I like the black one better because of the body style......

I went out to the garage today and looked at the Pacer while it poured outside

I should have taken it out for a cruise while it was nice yesterday.
Glad you had a chance to get out and cruise

Yesterday after Easter dinner my five year old grandson asked to go in the garage. He climbed into the Great Pumpkin, then asked to see the engine. I have a 350 on an engine stand ready for my 74, so he got to touch every part and ask what it was, He even reached his hand up into the exhaust manifold to see what it felt like. But it was about 30 degrees outside, so there was no question of a ride.
A couple of weeks ago, when it was just a short block, he had me rotate it so he could watch the pistons go up and down. Yesterday he remembered where they had been and asked what those parts covering them (the heads) were.
Get him started right!

When I bought my car last summer, I took my 23 year old son a ride. All he has ever been exposed to are the modern 4 and 6 cylinder engines. His daily driver is an elderly 4 door Buick Regal (blame his mother!). When I lit the motor up with him in the car his eyes about popped out of his head....and I believe the expression was .....OHHH...DAD! He had never experienced that sound or feel before. It was truly a priceless moment. After about 20 minutes in to his ride, he commented that this must be a cool car because it seemed like everyone watching us. He also wanted to know why Corvette drivers wave to each other.

His twin brother on the other hand immediately wanted to learn how to drive a stick shift so he could drive......NOT!!!!

There is no substitute for low end torque!
Chip, when we cash our chips in.............heaven is going to be as you descibed. Hopefully we will all be in C3 heaven.

This is cool Chip. Spring was in the air up here in the Big Mitten, until last Sat. Woke up with 14" of snow on the ground. Another white Easter. Its snowing again today and the high temp for this week is mid 30's.
Oh well, she's back into hibernation, but not for long.
