Everyone knows that the '67 427/435 cars are the most valuable of the 'vettes out there. Does anyone have an opinion of what they think will be the next big mover into the high value 'vettes?

I've seen predictions the next $100k Vette will be the '70-'72 LT-1 cars.
Of course, predictions are like buttholes...everybody has one. Then again, I wouldn't mind owning an LT-1.Gunslinger 2007-03-10 09:58:14

Vette(s): #1 -1969 Corvette Coupe Riverside Gold, black interior,MN,A/C,350/350,PS,PB,window cranks.
#2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.
I believe ANYTHING with a chrome bumper and in good shape will go up in value, not just one particular car.
Actually, your car isn't worth anything till you come across someone that wants it so bad they will pay the price you want.

I've seen no time frame on that prediction. If the prediction gets a lot of play it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy with people running out to find and buy LT-1 cars and driving up the prices artificially.
Maybe some car writer has an LT-1 and wants to drive its value up buy spreading such a prediction? Stranger things have happened.
Then again, if someone walked up and offered me $100k for my '69 vert L71, they'd have a car! I'd go out and buy a new C6 and have lots of $ left over.
Maybe I should start a prediction that my daughter's Kia will be the next $100k collector car and wait for someone to buy it?

Guess I'll keep mine a little while longer.
What are those low milage, good condition, 1953's going for these days?
Since there was only about 300 made, you don't see them sell very often. NADA, which in my opinion is one big joke, list Low $69,975 Avg $116,650 and High $184,475.
