I know many of us have more than one Corvette, so vote according to where you truely feel your passion is. Hopefully this hasn't been done before....

I cant give 1 answer to this as crazy as it sounds.. If the car is stock, I say leave it stock or at least nothing that cant be undone. My 81 falls into this category. My 70 - total drive line change (I got it that way) color change etc etc and its just fun..
I like keeping the Vette more or less the stock way, but improving parts where possible ( brakes, shocks, tires, suspension, etc. ) I like adding chrome parts and better audio systems ( although I prefer the stock look ). Unless you have a rare collector model the " number matching " thing is a pain. I don't like the "over the top mods, though.

On my '69, since it's all numbers matching, I don't change anything I can't easily return to stock. About all that's different is I installed radial tires and a modern AM/FM/CD player. Saved the old parts in case I want to change it back at some point.
It comes down to whatever you want to do with your own car. Don't let me or anyone else tell you what to do with your own car.
After being stock for 25 years I decided to upgrade the engine, suspension and interior/exterior. This year will be a try hard to finish up.

I don't see my 78's or '81 ever bringing the big bucks in my lifetime so I build them to my purpose. I love to upgrade things like steering, suspension, motors, A/C, anything that enhances the experience. I mean, driving them is the best part of all.

I love the orignal look! But this one I'm going to custom for me. Starting with the Viper Red paint to turn some heads.

Mine will NEVER be NCRS, but I am going to try to keep it as much original as possible. Painted and replaced much of it, but close to stock as possible. As a "Last year" bumper car for both ends my goal is to save the look and originality. Have up-dated small stuff to enhance it and keep it going. Just drive it and enjoy it. Mark
