Got to get out today and give the old girl a good stretch of the legs. Eventhough, I replace my tranny with the 700R4 last summer, today was the 1st time I really cruised her. I put about a hundred miles on it today and it performed perfectly. This is going to be the best year for cruising since I bought the car in 2007. Thanks to everyone who has given me tips either by request or sharing there expierences for me to study and learn from. A special thanks to Joel (Mr. C3).

Vette(s): 1972 Targa Blue, T-Top, Saddle leather, 350 auto, numbers match, all original except '69 factory side exhaust.
Previously owned: 1969 427, 390hp, 4sp, Riverside Gold coupe, factory side exhaust
I also put about 100 miles on the 72 and She ran great!
It's unseasonably warm here in WI for the Month of May. I've not converted the AC to R134 so It's going to be a hot crusing season. With 69 factory side exhaust, you don't burn your legs getting out but the door sills warm up.
However not unbearable.

I agree, this is a great group and very willing to share experiences and knowledge.
Been very helpful to me!

Glad to see you guys are getting them out!

Mine is at a stand still until I can get the exhaust straightened out and the correct speedo gear installed. Soon enough.
It's absolutely true how so much good info. gets passed back and forth around here. Every job I've done or had done to my '79 since coming on board here has been the result of the good Q&A found only here.
Put some miles on 'em.

Glad to hear someone is driving!!!!
Its raining off and on here in the NW for the last 2 weeks and the next 2 weeks from the looks of it.
On the bright side there's snow on the mountains and the trees are green.

Got out with the '81 on Sunday for the day. Just changed the fluid in the diff. so I wanted to get out there and stir it up. ossw1 is the closest member to me and we've become good friends. 85 mi. between us so it's an 1 1/2 hr drive each way through all kinds of roads. Kind of unnerving through the city on the freeway (Sacramento). Drivers seem to have no manners. Each trip always leaves me looking forward to the next one though

Excellent! Keep on driving her!
I get mine out at least 2 or 3 times a week. She's a very good car.
My son took her to his college tech class today and charged up my A/C and reconnected a wire on the compressor and she's blowin' cold air now..................HHHHHEEEEEEE..............HHHAAAAAAAAWWWW! Only cost me 2 cans of R134 and a weed wacker (for my son). I'm a happy camper now cuz it's gettin' HOT already here in TEXAS.
