I drove my '74 one day...I think...

Wait...it's coming back to me....I DID drive it every day when I first bought it...for about three months...
Then I started working on/restoring it...that was 11 years ago.
Now I rarely drive it...What have I DONE?!?! Adams' Apple2008-07-08 05:05:05

Until I started the rear end /  suspension upgrade (which led to sidepipes, etc; you know, "while I'm at it . . ."), my BB was my daily driver (except when it rains), despite the rising fuel prices.

Can't wait to finish her up, 'cause it's cruzin weather! maybe the end of July??

Vette(s): 78 coupe, Dk Brown, ZZ4 385 hp fast burn, steeroid rack/pinion, Keisler 5 speed. Built to run with C5 and C6. on the highway. Can't beat them. But they can't lose me in there mirrors. LOL I built it to enjoy. So far I've tripped through 15 States.

I don't drive mine daily. But, I do drive it a lot when I can.  Last month I took her out for a ride. We went to Bowl Green, KY. then to New Jersey, Providence, R.I.  Then back to Ft Lauderdale, Fl.  Only 3600 miles. By baby ran perfect.   Now, I think thats better than driving every day. Next is Route "66" and the Hot Rod Power Tour.Big%20smile

I take it out at least every other weekend and drive it for 3 or 4 days, then work on it a little.

^^^ Me too. Clap

Any excuse to leave the house every day. "Hunny, I need to run over to the store for...er.....milk."

Not so much a daily driver, but I find excuses to drive it daily.  Big%20smile

Vette(s): Looking to purchase a '69 vette. Prefer automatic 427/430HP
For those daily drivers out there, how are you able to drive her daily without insurance being a problem?  I'm limited to 6000 miles/yr and she's not allowed to be a daily driver.

Maybe not 365, but I do try to drive 4-5 times a week. It's so much fun to drive I hate to park it. I only get about 15 miles per gallon, how does everyone else fare. Gene

Mine has been a daily driver for about 9 of the 12 years I have owned it. Now that I have moved out of town I split the time with my 30 MPG toyota.

Look for Insurance that does not limit milage or get regular insurance.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
POC Tempo  30 mpg.  98 Caravan 20 mpg.  75 C3 27 mpg.  38 miles each way to work. $4.00 gallon.  Relatively empty wallet.

SOOOO...... Tempo daily driver.  Caravan family truckster.  C3 just for fun, and it's not often enough.

My students argue about what is better, Chevy, Ford, or Chrysler.   I get to tell them my driveway has one of each!    Fun to mess with their heads.
