365 for me. Well, maybe 362. In Colorado, there can be a couple of days in March that make it absolutely impossible. I love driving my Vette. It's mine, I love to drive, it's not nearly as valuable as 80% of the vehicles that are slogging through the muck with me, I grew up on rear wheel drive in the mountains and, did I mention that I love to drive my Vette? Hopefully someday the elements will take there toll on my beautiful red paint so that I can redo it in metallic green. Hey, I'm 46 going on 17!

Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed
Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.
For those daily drivers out there, how are you able to drive her daily without insurance being a problem? I'm limited to 6000 miles/yr and she's not allowed to be a daily driver.
When I was in the process of buying my car, I called my State Farm Agent and just got the car put on my regular policy. No mileage limits and I drive when and where I want. They told me if anything happens, they will take into account what I paid for it and market values. Hopefully, I never have to find out how honest they are, and if I do, they were.
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

How can insurance limit you like that? If I wanted to drive mine daily I would. I am new to the classic car scene so is there some sortof provision that denies you the rite to drive your own car? Thats a bum rap if thats the case!

they can limit you in that the type of insurance you are purchasing is replacement insuranced ie. I have my car insured at 20,000 replacement. They see it as the classic it is, not just a 1981 chevrolet value maybe 2,000 dollars. Common sense says the more you drive the greater the risk of an accident. Average yearly milage in usa is 12000 miles they insure it at half that plus it must be garage kept. And finally for replacement value 20,000 my premium is 250 a year. cant get that kind of rate at allstate.

I drive as much as possible yearly, but don't put a lot of miles on the clock. Friday "date night" with the wife, car shows, cruises, etc. My insurance is full coverage for 8 months and storage coverage for the rest of the year. It's insured for replacement value and has to be re-appraised every 3 years, but there are no restrictions on mileage. My premium is 188 a year. All my insurance is with one company and I'm sure that effects my rates.
