I have removed my dash panel and windshield due to a crack. My question is now that I have all this off, is there anything else I should do/check for while I have this area open. Might try to get the clock out for repair. Anything else I should be looking at?

If you have access to all your gauges, you should replace every dash light bulb with all new. You're likely to have the original bulbs in there and you don't want to go pulling it apart again anytime soon because a dash light bulb burned out or its filament broke from being bounced around from what you're doing.
If you're going to do anything with the clock, convert it to quartz movement or replace it with one made with a quartz movement. It's worth the effort.

check the clutch and brake assy bushings for slop and make sure to check the pin on the clutch pedal that the clutch rod goes on , mine was half worn through, though my car had 140K, check all the column and dash brace's for tightness, maybe add a little more insulation to the underside of the dash pad and along the firewall under the dash pad, remove the heater ductwork give em a bath in warm soapy water, now that you got the room, remove the vent doors check the seals and clean the leaves and the debris out of the pleumn area, make sure the drain holes are clear, now that the center cluster is out, now is a good time to replace the 1/8" plastic oil line with 1/8" copper.anips 38513.8755787037
Ditto on the oil line... they get brittle and when they leak, the oil drops into your radio (experience speaking).
Might as well check your cables to your vents from the center consel; the heater unit, check the light and cable as well.
This and all the above will keep you busy for a while.. Good Luck!

don't know about you guys but once I start down the road I don't look much at the gauage's, maybe glance at the water temp or fuel gauage, the real problem with the plastic oil line is when it breaks off at the fitting at the rear of the block, possible oil starved engine and oil fire

I now think i know what that fluid is showing in my radio tuning dial face.
