Clean them?! Yer supposed to clean them?! That might explain a few things!

All of my "special" cars are in lighted showcases, display cases, or still in the original boxes/packaging. The ones on the shelves are "dusted" about once a month with one of them fancy, feather-like dusters. Not really sure what it's made of, but it werks purdy well.

I have waxed a few in the past. I use a product called "California Car Shine", or sumpthin like that. I'd have to go look.

My collection is now just under 2000(1960 or so).
Click on my "See my Vettes & Toys" link, and look at pages 3 and 4. These are old pics, but you get the idea.
I actually have more cash in the toys than I do in both of my real 'Vettes! Adams' Apple2006-09-15 21:17:38

I have a small collection that resides on a shelf going down to the basement.
Someday, they will be displayed in a more prominent location. Some are in the original boxes.
No, they don't get dusted.
And no, I don't wax them.

I don't have that many so I just leave them sealed in their boxes. The boxes are simple to dust.

Most of mine are still in their boxes. Here are my 1/18th scale collection. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/565523/2
I have lots of other sizes put in storage containers until I figure out how and where to display them. I also have a bunch of model kits that are all still intheir boxes, I hope to put them together someday with my grandson when he gets old enough.

Brian- Nice collection. I have a couple of the ones like yours, but no where as many.
My youngest grandson (3 years old) likes to play demolition derby with his cars, so he can just look at mine.
