I finally got my vette up to the Strip yesterday and I am pretty pleased with the results. I managed to get 6 passes done. I feel there is still alot more in the combo since I still had my all season BFGs tires on and the brakes didnt want to hold it at the line for a real hard launch. My Best time slip is:
R/T: .526
60': 1.995
330': 5.516
1/8: 8.410
1/8 mph: 85.08
1000': 10.932
1/4: 13.074
1/4 mph: 104.89

Very respectable.
Just work on your R/T (reaction time- for those who don't know) and you'll probably break the 13 sec. mark. Ain't drag racing a rush?
Sarge
Yea, I am sure I'll break into 12's easily, I drove the car to the track, which was a 2 hour drive. The night before, I had replaced all the rubber brake lines and I thought I had all the air out of them, since the pedal was harder than it had even before. Well just as I was pulling into the track my brake pedal went real soft. DANG! I wasnt about to call it quits because I still had some braking power. Just not enough to do a proper brake torque. Also I dont think my tune is right. But it was a good first time at the strip.Tumarr 38856.7623263889

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
I think .526 is a pretty darn good R/T for a Full Tree. Now if you were using a Pro Tree, you would would need to improve.
All in all, I think those stats are quite impressive.
Just wondering if you have a stall converter and what gears you're running.
