I am having a problem.. can someone, anyone, please help!!!
There is a terrible odor coming from the passenger side cowl like a mouse or something died in it. How do I clean down the inside of the cowl area on the passenger side of the car. has anyone ever had a problem like this before? Maybe in the blower box, not sure... Can anyone advise me what to do or where to start... |headscratch|
Thank You
Look forward to your responses.

pull the driver's door sill, kick pad, disconnect the vent door cable at the vent door, pull the vent door up and out, take a vacume cleaner hose and stick it in the opening and see if the suckson picks up the rat, shove the hose in as far it will go and move it left and right, use a small shop mirror and light to see inside, look to see if there is a nest between the cowl and the inside of the fender in the engine compartment pull the lower fender splash shield to get a better look, they will also build nests in the frame rails.

Nests in the framerails ain't funny. They absorb and hold moisture from roadspray, and create a rustfarm. There's a post in here somewhere about it; if you find "insulation" inside the rails, you're landlording a mouse condo.

I've landlorded them in my wife's Volvo and my son's Mustang Cobra. They didn't mess with the Vette or the GMC though. They seem to prefer unibody construction! Hint from body shop supplyman ... and it seems to work: Downy Dryer Sheets repel the little critters.
