Vette(s): 1976 Stingray,Totally rebuilt with new original paint color. Car now has over 450 horse power with a few more still on the way.
I live in Richboro,Pa. Bucks County and I would like to find a place to get a Dyno Tune Up. I have the original motor but with a few mods. It has around 450 horse power. I went last week to the Corvette Challenge at Englishtown and my time was 13 .3 seconds at 104.69 miles per hour. I just put a Holley 4 barrel double pumper on with MSD and a Pro Billet Dist. and I want to make sure I am getting the MAX . If you know of a place to get the Tune Up down in my area I will be thankful.DON

Vette(s): 1971 coupe, 270 hp, auto, air. 43K original miles. All original.
With the info you have from your time slip, you can figure out your horsepower numbers without a chassis dyno. Many web sites have the math formulas to calculate this. If you tune alot, and want data you can use immediately, for the cost of 3 or 4 chassis dyno runs, you can own a performance computer, use it every run at the track, see immediately what timing and jetting changes are doing for you, and even rent it to people to recoup your investment.

I don't remember any sites with that kind of formula. Could you give us one or two URLs?

Glen,
I have used high street performance in Pottstown on two different times. Last time they didn't even have paper for Dyno Run Print out, not graph, just plain copy paper.

Travel a little and try Second Street Speed! Even though i have never used them personally, they have a very good reputation. Last i heard it was $150.00 per hour labor for full Dyno tune. If you get it close you should only be 1 hour.

See you at next month's meeting!
