Great update Ben. Your clickin right along. Don't recognize the parts your lookin for. A guy that I dealt with for the real hard to find stuff was Art's corvette parts in Fl. www.artscorvetteparts.com
Another guy is L.E.S. Autoparts in NJ. He specializes in locating NOS parts nation wide. He helped me out tremendously when I did my 69 SS Chevelle. Les Auto Parts

It doesn't look like you'll get bored any time soon, but with all that TLC, the final product will be Barrett Jackson worthy

I have some clarification for the above questions..
I have a few more questions...
1 specifically I know I need to shim up my #2 body mounts because when I tried to attach the nose of the car the gap was huge and wider at the bottom. I dont know what should be the baseline. Start with x and then adjust y,z, etc to fit.
2 wondering if there is a paper or plastic template to lay on the fiberglass and drill holes for the stringray logos on the side.. crossed flags in the front, corvette lettering on the back, hood grilles, 427 lettering on the hood.
3 this part is a plastic loop connected to one of the astro ventilation doors. it is attached with 3 rivets
4 this bracket was attached inside the floor pan. it is very badly rusted out, the seat belt routed through it after it left the center bolt under the seat. I can find the outer bracket offered by pretty much everyone, but cant find anyone offering the inner bracket.
5 what are all the differences between early seats. as i understand the 68,69,70-74 are three different seats. how can i tell which one I have? my seats are blue so i know they are not original to the car.
6 what is the deal with 69 seat belts? did they have shoulder straps ? (my seats have strap routing clips) i have seen some 69 shoulder straps on ebay. were they an option?
7 I remember someone having an aftermarket center bezel for modern stereos. anyone know where to get one?
on another note.. I found the paint gun my father sent me yesterday.. it is a brand new Sharpe 975-pi with 2 (0.070) tips that he bought 20 years ago and never used, my brother-in-law said this would be great for primer but not modern paint. So I went on ebay and bought a SATA 3000 HVLP gravity feed gun with cup and PPS cup adapter for 345 shipped. Did I get a good deal?

and for question number 8.
8 please take a look at the picture below and tell me what is missing from this plenum area. I dont understand what makes this "vent" should there be any kind of hose coming off the elbow?

I'm on dial-up here at home, so looking at pics is gonna be tough, but I'll try after I post this.
The AIM should have the measurements for all of the emblem holes. If you don't have the AIM, then someone here does, and should be able to get that info posted.
The early seats were different. The seat release buttons changed height sometime in '69, if memory serves.
Shoulder harnesses were an option on convertibles until '73 or '74, when they were made standard equip.
There are no specific starting points for the body shims. The factory had the blueprints for what everything should measure, but, since no two bodies came out exactly the same, the shims were requires in some(almost all) cases. They would get the measurements of the body mount locations on each body, and then do some math to get it close for the body drop(the chassis mount points were usually all right on the money). Once the body was down, they would add/subtract shims for each mount location to get the gaps within spec. This is why it is so important when doing a body-off to mark/tag each body mount shim package with the location of that package when the body is removed. It is what gives you your "starting point" when putting the body back on. Since you've replaced the front end on you car, the original shims probably aren't going to be right, but...they would give you a good reference point.
My only suggestion for that is you're going to be adding/removing shims for a while, until you get it where you want it. There are some really good body drop books out there, such as cousin Noland Adams' series on body off restos. He give you a "worksheet" format to get it close on the drop, and then fine-tune it from there. Perhaps someone here has those books, and can help.
Mid America, and Corvette Central both advertise the radio bezel. Larry at Corvette Specialties may also have them...give him a shout.

Finally! After 5 minutes, I could see the last pic you posted...
I don't think there's anything attached to that elbow there. I'm thinking that is the full time fresh air intake for the astro vent system. I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me. The wire mesh grills at either end of the wiper plenum would keep trash/leaves out of it for the most part.
I'll keep looking a the other pics....btw...smaller pics would certainly help us po folks on dial-up!

just messin wit ya!
astrovent pic- Is that plastic, or metal? Looks like it could be repaired if you can't find another one.
innerbracket pic- hmmm....don't know about that one.
innerbracket2- ditto...not a clue on those...

yeah its in there... but it is still very hard to get them right. once upon a time I had a paper template for the mirror mouting screws... you taped it on the door.. and just drilled where it told you. I was hoping there were shaped drilling templates like this for everything else.
