B2Rick, You're guy is dead wrong if he thinks that a non-matching Vette has the same value as a matching numbers Vette. Now, he may have sold a few to buyers that were not aware of the difference but that is an anomaly. Just watch a collector's auction and watch the difference in prices between a non-matching verses matching numbers car.

Whew you guys are making me tired.... If I schucked out $22K for a car and was told it was a matching numbers car my beef would be with the seller. Once he and I settled that (if we could) then I would most likely return to the car I bought and enjoy it.

By the way I think you have a beautiful vert! Heck I enjoy looking at it as is and I have never seen your tranny......

Vette(s): 1970 T-Top350/350hp numbers matching 4 speed. It's a mess and 1970 Convertible 4 speed.
OK so you re stamp a motor and the motor has the correct build date whats the diff? Now days if you don't have complete car history from the day it was build you can assume the the motor has been re stamp.
