Dennis thanks for the link. I have looked at all of this previously. I think what I need is some help in getting a room with me registry buds.
I say this because I am going to assume that this event is like Funfest in that folks reserve their room as they depart each year.
In saying this if anybody knows someone who is not going to return to this show next year please have them contact me and we can arrange the reservation switch or make other arrangements.
Otherwise I am going to have to search hotels and ask to be placed on a waiting list.
Lonnie thanks for the plug for the Roadway Inn Swiss Holiday Resort ( I assume this is the place you are refering to.)
I will check into this as well as any other places folks say they are staying at.

Leila And I will be there again, going up Thursday, Sept. 30th. We made our reservations when we left last year at the 1876 Inn, right in the heart of it all. There's always cancellations, so rooms can usually be had if you look around. Year before last, we found a room two days before it started.

I've been stoking the fire under the guy rebuilding my engine. It's starting to get me a little uneasy, but he assures me it will be ready in time to go. Famous last words? I hope not! The Mahle .045 pistons and rings and custom grind cam are supposed to be in this week, Dart heads hopefully the middle of next week. Put it all together, dyno it, put it back in the Vette and we'll be ready to go!

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

Ya know there are bazillion Vette events held each year. Well, quite a few anyway . Next year I want to go to some of them that I haven't attended before.
Rite now I am thinking about attending the Carlisle and Eureka Springs shows to start with. Shoot , you're only about 390 miles away, just down the road aways. Hitch up the mules and c'mon over. Plenty of time left to find a room.
It's really pretty cool being in a town that's almost nothing but Vettes. I think last year there were about 1200 there. [/QUOTE]
Yer rite Dwain I absoooolutely posted that in September of 09' ..... and in Novemember I lost my job after 32 years. (The 2nd time by the same company in a 2 year span..... lol)
However 3 months after leaving my former employer..... (Delta Faucet Company) I gained employment with a great company (Acro Engineering and Racing Componets) to which I am extremely happy!!!
We kinda shuffled some priorities around when this stuff happened. In doing this we retained Funfest because I had been working to set up the Days Inn Hotel as a C3VR mainstay for Funfest 2010 and the 2011 Gathering.
I also wanted to help Butch & Jani with the Midwest October Cruise In at Vevay, In. this year. Thats is why no Carlisle ..... an no Eureka Springs.... call me ol' fashion but I weren't quite ready to start spendin me retirement savings just yet.
All that being said I think we are back on track and have resumed planning for future Corvette Events.....
See..... I really did wanna see yer smilin face......
Can ya ever fergive this ol' country boy?
