So I am up early this morning looking at C3VR when I hear sirens going off. Hey... that sounds kind of close. I look out the door and just a few blocks away a house is on fire.

Grab my Nikon and start taking pics and this lady comes running up to me yelling and saying I am rude for taking photos. ??????? She follows me around and keeps yelling at me.??? Finally a Sheriff comes by and tells the woman to stop or he will arrest her. Dang it.. fire and PMS in one day.

Fire is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY DESTROYER and can happen to anyone. We all need fire extinguishers and smoke detectors in our homes but many dont have them. Smoke detectors are absoluetly the cheapest life insurance you can buy. Dont forget to check the batteries in the smoke detectors!!!
Dennis you wer'nt still in your hospital gown were you!

Hope everyone was ok. And yes fire is scary, we pratice fire drills with the family all the time. I heard the fire truck coming up my road just after cleaning the driveway this morning. Scary as out here in the country my local volunteer company only goes like 1/2 mile past my house. So if you here em it's real close....I watched as they were really slowin down near my house...thank goddness it was only Santa on the back making the rounds to wave to all the kids.

I went back later to get some daytime pics. Dang it here she comes again calling me names and saying I am rude for taking pics. She started getting in my face so I pretended to call 911. That really p/o ed the lady.
Good thing I can bluff on the phone. She left finally.
She has her priorities mixed up. House fire or photo man hmmmm, I'll go after the photo man. No one was hurt in the fire.

Good to hear no one was hurt. What a way to ruin the holidays.
When the kids were young we did the fire drills. One of the drills bent the heck out of the window screen
. I was a volunteer firefighter in my younger years. I was all ways amazed at how fast a fire can build.

Funny about the screens as both kids rooms go onto the porch roofs, they have to take out or kick out the screens climb onto the roof and wait for me there. I take the screens out for the drill
Hope we never ever have to do it for real.

I must say you have a way with women

The really scary thing was your headline. I was thinking fire in the hood, as in the hood of the vette
I know a lot of us even keep extinguishers in the vettes.
Our local vette mechanic talked me out of getting the K&N topper for my breather. He said he has seen the results of a carb backfiring up thru them and catching the fiberglass on fire. Sure changed my mind.
