Fellow C3 Owners,
The power antenna on my '82 does not work. I understand that this is a common problem. I have a few questions:
What is the most common source of the problem?
Can anyone recommend where I can send it to be rebuilt?
Also, where can I purchase an original replacement if necessary (not a reproduction)?
Thanks for your help!

The place to look and/or purchase a replacement would probably on ebay or if they have any try Dr.Rebuild.
I hear that water is a source of the problem. Might even be the wires loose or a ground.
Good Luck.

Hey Joe, check with Larry at Corvette Specialties, they are one of our sponsers. I'll bet he can hook you up (so to speak).

Joe define "does not work" my 80 stopped working while in the going up and down stage. It has a cable that breaks inside the housing, sort of like your recoil on a mower engine. The replacement kit is cheap. Very easy to take out and bench fix. You do have to drill out the rivets in the plastic housing. Just go slow with the drill so you do not grab and crack the plastic. I'm sure Larry has the cable kit.
Now if its the motor itself then you can get a replacement for that also.
Good luck,
ebo

We find that people most often just need to replace the relay under the console, followed by the repair kit. No one make an exact duplicate, but there are good replacements available.
