I've got the red fibreglass 70 vert very low SN 0035.Well the seat back for the pass side came unglued and I can't get my fingers in there to re-glue it.Has anybody taken one of these apart? If so can you walk me through it.I've got the get the interior part out.I've tried to get to it with the door opened but still no luck. The piece won't come all the way out because of the seat belts.ThanksWink zgator2007-05-14 16:07:19

Possibly you could expand the subject heading...it took me a few minutes to figure out just what the heck you was talking aboot!
You have a Franklin Mint 1970 car, I finally deduced!!
All of that stuff is just glued in to start with, as far as the seats, and the seatbelts. What you may try, is using a model car glue that comes in a black bottle, with a LONG, needle-like tip. That always works for me in tight spots. If you can get the tip in there, and skwert a little glue on the seatback, then you can use a toothpick, or similar item to push the seatback onto the seat for a few minutes.
Check with your local Hobby Shop, and ax for "Model Master" brand liquid cement, #8872. It's a 1 ounce, black plastic bottle with about an inch long tip. Be carefull with this stuf...a little dab'l do ya!

and, to keep this from happening again...stay away from FM stuff...Danbury is MUCH better, quality-wise, and detail-wise, imho.

I used to be a model maker but not for years now. I wasn't even close to getting this one.

Thanks Joel......If I ever.....I'll be sure to buy Danbury.

Sorry about that. Most of my stuff is Danbury, they are much better.
I've got to get into this thing to clean up the glue so I can have room for more. The seat wont fit back into place unless I scrape off the old stuff.
