footman loops

after trying for an hour to find the footman loops in the bulk head above the console i gave up, tried an awl to locate the screw holes but noooo!anyone have a better idea  thank youCensored

only footman loops i can find for corvettes is in the luggage compartment, used to attach straps used to secure the t-tops.... one is between the seats, the other 2 are above the wheel wells.  A post on another site suggested using a large sewing needle to locate the screws, sounds like a lot of them were carpeted over because of this. personally i've no idea about removing them

IF that is what we're talking aboot, then you should be able to feel the holes for the loop from behind the bulkhead....depending on how high the carpeting is folded there.You may need to remove the pass side storage compartment to get to the holes from behind, and then you can stick a 90* pick/awl thru so you can see the location of the holes from the front. On my '74 the loop is fairly high on the bulkhead....I been looking for a pic, but haven't found a good one yet.
