The fact that it needs paint is an automatic $4500 deduction. You are not going to get a quality job for less than that. I would not give more than $4000 for the car.

Man y'all sure are hard on the Chevrolet Corvette's Bi-Centenial pride & joy.
Vega wheel? Hmmmmn, I thought the Camaro and the Vega came out with a Corvette wheel in them that year......
My take on your find is that keep your sights on what the car is worth once it is done... $8-12 K.
If your building a driver then a $4 K paint job is nutz! My bet is you can get that paint price down to $2 K with a little work on your part and still be happy with the results.
Good Luck saving the car.......Tuxblacray 2009-02-02 16:15:50

Vega Wheel? That's okay.
The 75 was the lowest HP ever.
The 77 and up a few years had, you ready, a Chevette heater control!
Grin and bear it, they are still great cars

THANKS, To all who replied to my concern on prices for the 76'. It does have working air conditioning, rally wheels and good leather seats. NO hits on body. Looks to have been maintained well. Oil is clean and brakes look good from peakin through the caliper. Good points and bad, I will get a tad bit more interested. I am able to do alot of the work myself, and am in no hurry as the 72' will ALWAYS be my pride -n- joy. THANKS again, MARK

I agree for the most part do not pay more than 4K for it. I kinda like having a red headed step child.
