Ron,
Thanks for the info on the free GM stuff. The guy told
me no later than 8 weeks and hopefully sooner. It's
amazing how many different answers you get for the same
question. You're right about free stuff, I can't remember
the last time I got anything free.

Thanks for the info. I called today and talked to a lady named Tracy. She was very kind and helpful and said I should recieve it in 4 - 6 weeks. She is also sending me the same on my 69 GMC 3/4ton 4x4.
I called today and chose option 3 then option 2. I got a guy who was very helpful. He told me the kit would about three weeks to get to me. He tried to look up the original owner was but the data base did not go back to 1969. He also gave me a service request number in case I needed to call back. Thanks for the info.

I ordered my package from GM Canada. It cost me $45 but I think it was worth it. It would have been better had it been free. However, I was looking to buy my Vette at the time and they got the info to me in 1 hr over the fax!! Then about 10 days later I got the package in the mail with the original sheet that told me how many 1976 Vettes were imported to Canada, how many had the L82 and how many were 4 speeds. It also gave me all the option codes for my car, and the date and place it was produced, all on GM Canada letterhead. The package was personalized in my name. I also received several business cards of Corvette businesses and literature sources in Canada. Also included was a 12 page pamphalet with all 1976 Corvette specs and a new brochure on GM's concept cars.
Like I said, I thought it was a good deal - not as good as free, but still a pretty good deal.
Ken

Ken,
With all that was included in your packet of info, especially that which was specific to your car, I'd say you got a deal. Wish those of us in the states would have gotten that level of info. I would have gladly paid for it!
I just got back from Ky and found my package waiting by my door
