I have a friend (yes I do have friends) in San Antonio, TX who may start looking for a C3. Just emailed me to let me know he has decided on a C3. For about the last year he has been trying to decide on what to replace his 71 Cuda with(he bought this while we were in High School and sold it about a year ago). Well we both happened to be in Portland at Christmas so we got together while the family's went shopping at the mall. So of course we talked about cars and vettes.
He has never owned a vette so his knowledge base is limited. I don't want him to be taken advantage of so I am asking my other friends
here if they might help him in his quest. I have told him about this site so I think he may be joining soon. I don't know what year he is looking for but I suspect it will be a chrome bumper one. As I get more info I will let ya'll know

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
Since he recently sold a 71 Cuda, he should be able to buy any corvette he wants. A friend sold one on ebay last year for $83k.

He got some good money for it but I think some was spent on his kids college tuition. He was the second owner and bought it in 1975 when we were seniors in high school. It was Orange with the black decal on the rear qtr panels that said 383. It had never been hit and had low miles on it. Spent most of its life in storage.
