see below for 69 burgundy..

That color is awsome!! But as far as compromise, I was thinking more on the line of black with red trim & pinstripe? |idea|
PS What the heck they do with the front end of that 69? Looks like a shark with his eyes wide open |headscratch|

Speaking of black w/red pinstripes. Since I am going to repaint mine anyway I was playing with pinstripes on the hood and behind the front tires and along the rocker panels. Did better than I thought for a first timer. Doesn't look too bad I guess.

"That's what I'm talkin bout"!! Trim looks real good! Of course my 71 has egg crate fender vent. I think that would look cool trimmed red. |bouncy|

I believe it is a motion phase III front end. I pretty sure I'm the fourth owner of this car. When I bought it I assumed that the front end had been damaged and someone put it on there to be "different". I cant find any evidence of a front end collision so im just assuming it was a small love tap that damaged the fiberglass only OR someone did it for fun. I personally dont like pop-up lights and I think the vacuum system is ridiculous (what was wrong with the c2 electric setup ?).. also the roads around here are pretty rough and that rattling you get from your lights with a stiff suspension is annoying..

im going to leave it like this while I own it.. Im slowly getting all the pieces together to change it back.. ill give the buyer the option of making it original or not.

Talk about the most nerve racking "guest driver" -- my darling wife got the itch to take the vette out for a spin tonight. Without ME !! She's out with my 10-year-old now "running a few meaningless errands."

Joe, would you prefer to borrow my 89 Celebrity or the 92 Caravan while you are waiting for your ride to come home? |wavey|

Some one else behind the wheel is enough to drive you nuts. My vette is not on the road yet, but it made me nuts when someone drove the old 70 GS I used to have. |confusing|

Vette(s): 1971 coupe. Fully restored, numbers match
The original paint for my 71 was Warbonnet also. We debated whether to paint it red or black. Black looks so good with the chrome, that we chose it. No regrets with black on black. Of course, the interior used to be camel color. The owner before us had it painted an ugly blue on silver metallic and unfortunately took the eggcrate grills off the side and replaced them with 1973's.

The vette returned home in perfect shape. Lucie insisted that I pull it in the garage -- good call on her part! Lets hope she has no more "itches" for a while!
