As a PC tech I'd have to tell you that while this problem might be caused by Adam's scripting, if it were caused by that everyone would have the problem, I'd be much more inclined to think that it was a problem with your computer(sorry) but it probably isn't too major and should resolve after a reboot or a night off.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
My computer was down all day. I was out fishing, and my wife was wanting to do some homework, and she needed the computer, so she called me on the cell phone, and of course, it was my fault that it didn't work. I was 75 miles away, and she figured I could fix it.... When I got home, I turned it on, and it worked perfect. Amazing how I fixed it so quick!!!!HEH,HEH
But I haven't had any trouble getting in the c3vr at all...

Glen,
I run into the same thing at work. They cry that their PC is not working. I walk over and it works fine. Some have gotten to the point when they are doing something that "just has to get done NOW" they ask me to come in and shoot the breeze for a while till they are finished. Like that is actually gonna work !!! After that, they forget my name till they need me again !
Best advice for a PC, if it is doing something stupid, turn it off, give it a rest ( a drink if necessary ) and turn it back on. If the problem persits, call for help, but don't call me, because mine is doing the same thing.

chuck actually has a VERY good point, clean out the temporary internet files and reboot and it should definatly help speed things along if not stop the booting(a previous version of Adam's forums got stored and is conflicting with the current version of Adam's forums and there yah go, bootage! )

I had the same problem a few years ago. It turns out that my browser program on my old computer with Windows 95 was corrupted, so I had to delete the program, and download a fresh version of the browser. With my current laptop if I have problems similar to that that, then I just overwrite (which deletes) everything on the hard drive, by reinstalling Windows 98 with a recovery disc I got with my Compaq laptop. This restores my computer to factory-fresh condition, which of course, gives me uncorrupted Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers. Of course, I have to re-install AOL, which also gives me an uncorrupted AOL browser. If you do this, you do lose bookmarks, downloaded programs, etc. A friend who is a programmer told me that Windows eventually just wears itself out from use, and has to be reinstalled once in a while.

Irritating isn't it? That's Microsoft for yah tho....saying it will work reliably is like saying a C3 won't ever have a bad ground lolololol

I bet alot of people think they have all those "extra" ground wires because that was the only way Chevrolet could make the Corvettes heavier without using a metal body! Some of those same people also are share holders of the Brooklyn Bridge !!

Ah, the windows blue screen of death.
Yeah, I get it too, but I don't think that it's this website which causes it. What OS are you running? Which browser? I have Win2000 and IE 6.0. I'm on a Sony Vaio which originally came with Windows ME and has some dump proprietary crap so I can't upgrade my bios unless I first use the recovery disks, which insist on Windows ME being installed, or they don't work. GRRRRR! The system mgr at work is going to completely wipe my system and reload it the Sony way (after flashing my bios) next week when I'm off on biz travel. I get rebooted a few times a day. Generally it's when I've got IE open, but not always. Damn computer gremlins....
I'll know in another week if it fixes the problem.
