ALOT!!! If you are not interested in the car, I would certainly be. Please send me a e-mail on how to reach the owner of the car, should you pass on it's purchase. Thanks for any consideration, Warren

$45K for an L88 sounds awfully cheap...if it's a genuine L88, not a clone or fake. Genuine L88's go for way above the $100K level.
If this car is on the level a genuine factory L88 and it's in decent condition, forget about it...let one of us know so we can buy it! Actually, approach this carefully, ask many questions, ask for documentation and do some research before committing. If this is real, you may just have a real find there that will make the rest of us jealous.
Just remember the old saying about if it sounds too good to be true. Just don't get taken, but you just may find a jewel.

Agree with the rest. There is no way a L88 would go for $45,000 unless it was a total basket case. I would guess it is a clone and has not paper work to document that its a real L88. A nice L88 went for over $125,000 at the Barrett Jackson auction earlier in the year.
Remember, if its too good to be true, it probably is.
Also, a real L88 probably has a racing history to go with it.

Chip Miller's 69 L88 roadster (white/black) sold in the last couple months for $250,000.00. Jim Mattison's 69 L88 coupe (gold/saddle) sold a few weeks ago in Chicago (Mecum auction) for $160,000.00. Prices seem, for whatever reason, to be moving upward rather sharply in the last couple months.

Documentation, Documentation, Documentation!!!! There is no substitution for good documentation.
Check it out very closely. If it is real you stole it. If it is not you got robbed.
A real L88 in good condition is worth $80K+ a Clone is worth $15K+.
Let the buyer beware. If you are going to pay $45K you better get a lot of documentation and an expert to look at it. You are looking at a $60K swing between real and fake. For that kind of money you have a lot of people who will make it look very real to the untrained eye.

I do not agree. If it is factory, yes, it is worth much more. BUT, if you like the car and you can be sure it is an L88 and want it, the price is good. I missed out on a 68 435 hp bl/bl/bl covnvert, like new condition, because the appraiser said it was not factory. $35,000. It was a good deal and I'm still kicking myself.
Just be advised, all BBs look similar, don't buy it under false hoods.

Barrett Jackson auction just sold a 69 L88 convertible, blue w/white top for $157,000 today
. They really didn't have too much too say about it, I was surprised. It was the only C3 so far. As you'd expect, there were alot of 67 big blocks fetching $100k to $190K. Just wait, the C3 days are coming...
