I have seen both of these cars at Mid America's Fun Fest. I have to admit I didn't care for them in the movies or in person. Although I tend to like slightly modified vehicles both of these are a little too much for me.

The plot in Death Race 2000, score as many points as you can and win the race, if you survive it. You can run the competitors off the road, people over, whatever, just score points and get to the finish line first.

Not much of a movie either.

you guys are killing me.

i loved "corvette summer"  .  it came out when i was 13 years old and that's the movie that got me loving corvettes.  granted, the car was a little over the top but it gave me the "fever" .  i actually own that movie.

there's another movie i remember seeing called "stingray".  it had  a '65? convertible in it.  does that ring any bells with anyone?

Wasn't "Stingray" a TV show?  A black 65 Driven by a low key crime buster who went by "Ray".  It only made a few episodes.   Mediocre as I recall, but a really great car.

i've heard of the tv show but this was a movie.  it had two guys and a chick in it and they bought a 'vette from a used car lot which just happened to have some drug dealer's "stash" behind the seat.  the plot thickened from there

i'm still trying to remember how they got 2 guys and a girl in that car....

Sound like the passengers had more fun than the driver, unless the girl was driving.

Let's just say that it IS possible to get two guys AND two gals in a top-down 'Vette. Trust me! And if anyone asks, I'll plead the Fifth.........(the statute of limitations doesn't apply, as far as Mama's concerned, even if it happened in high school!)
That was NOT ME drivin' the '72 with two "chicks" and my buddy(on our way to a 'Doobie Bros.' concert). Adams' Apple38644.867974537
