Vette(s): 1975 L-48, 4 speed, side pipes, currantly and continually under repair.
Build Date: June 16, 1975
Went on a Holiday Cruise today to visit some friends and family as I was getting close to my brothers house my car started to shake and a guy behind me was flashing his lights. I pulled over and the left rear tire was completely flat.
Good thing I had my cell phone and 2 cans of fix-a-flat (Note: 1 can is not enough). I called the tire place and they had two B.F. Goodrich's in stock (needed to replace both anyways). Filled the tire with fix-a-flat and got there with no trouble.
Cost me $80.00 a piece plus tax. Oh Well, Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me......
By the way, I saw at least 5 vettes out today and they all waved and had big smiles on thier faces.
Happy Holidays to All.

I brought mine out today!
It's gonna be raining and snowy tomorrow, so I figured I'd get it out, while the getting is good!
I really hope I never get a flat. I don't even know how to get the spare down!

Hi All My Names Mick im down under in Austraila i own a 1970 L48 Red on Red Can you fella's tell me when you get a flat where do you put it, when you put the space saver on? I run 255/60/15 on rear & 245/60/15 on the front im thinking they wont fit in the compartment behind the seats Can any one help? This site is the greatest on the Web Cheers Mick

Hi Mick,
I haven't had to change a flat yet, but I know there is an original F70/15 in the tub underneath. If the flat won't fit in the tub I've got the luggage rack to strap it onto.
As far as the space saver spare is concerned, I've been told to never put it on the drive wheels (either front or rear wheel drive) because the size difference would wreak havoc on the positraction. So if a drive wheel goes flat, put the space saver on a non-drive wheel first and then put that wheel on where the flat is. That way you have the same size tires on the drive wheels.
