Well I got her home!!!.  The guy I found in Hemmings to trailer the car home was GREAT.  Good price, clean moden equipment, on time and a really nice guy!  If anyone needs an enclose transporter let me know!  My car is a 1978 Pace Car with an L82 and 4 speed.  It also has a CB radio (and it works!).    I guess its time to update my membership.

Bob, if you need any help at all, let me know. I'm a short ride away!! 

Paul, i just might need your help.  I've got her in the garage under a cover.  next week i need to check all safety issues, brakes, steering, tires.  Looking forward to meeting you and crusing around!

So, did the car meet your expectations?  Had you seen it before?

So far I'm happy,  When I was checking it out I didn't notice some dry rot on the tires, my bad. But overall she looks good and what I expected.  My plan of attack is 1) safety check (brakes, steering, fluids). 2) maintenance issues (tuneup, oil change, trans fluid change) 3) appearance (pinstriping needs to be replaced, replace carpet).  It was has a short somewhere.  When the high beams are on, I lose the low and high beams.  I'll be posting for help with that issue shortly.
