I haven't posted in awhile because I took real sick when My new pain Dr. gave me some meds. that made me real sick and by law he could not give me anything else until my next appt. So I layed in bed for 6 days so sick I didn't care what happened. I felt like I was at the devils door step. Well I have a different type of medication (perocet)and that works pretty good. My next appt he said he would like to try me on the patch. Then he said It's my call and whatever I want he will give me. My back has a progressive medical condition and I'll be on pain meds probably until I die, I guess. He did put some long needles in my lower spine and shot some fluid into it. It seems to work a little, at least it don't chrunch anymore. I also had an MRI done when I had my seisure and they found some liquid in front of my head. Probably from when my head hit the windshild when I crashed my Vette. The Vette is comming along fine. They had it on the frame machine and checked it (no damage) But it's a new machine so they want to get it as close to perfect as they can. The factory gives a + or - that they consider good he wants to do the factory one step better.

Glad you are still with us Michael. I hope the doctors can get your pain managed to the point that you can enjoy life again. Good to hear the Vette is coming along. Stay in touch.

Good to hear from you, Michael! Sure hope they can get your pain issues under control without making you sick..that sux.
The fluids in your head(that ain't supposed to be there) don't sound too good, either. Hope that they can take care of that too. That's just plain scary.
The car is secondary to your health...but once it's fixed, it could prove to be therapeutic just driving it a little.

Hang in there bud.

My sister had it and it killed her.I'll be on pain meds until I pass. As long as I've got my medication I'll have no problem driving the Vette. I'll drive it even if I have to be carried and put in the seat!!!!!WinkLOL

Michael,
Sorry to hear you were sick from the meds. They're supposed to make you feel better, not worse.
I'm sure you have got more than one opinion on the back. They are always researching new things to try, like stem cell, so hang in there and don't give up.
I don't know about pain pills, but I heard that Mary Jane for medicinal purposes works mighty fine.

Mary Jane don't get along with me. Maybe I took too much because I was out there in outerspace!!!I have been to 4 Dr's and they all say  the same thing. I'll have to get stronger pain meds as my back deterates. Next month I'm going on the patch (fentala) I think thats how you spell it. I get around fine as long as I have the meds. You would never know I had a bad back. Thanks for keeping me in your paryers. I think Corvette prayers are cool. I'm going to be around a lot more asking my usual stupid questions. I still Have my sence of humer(sp)
