If its not one thing its another. I noticed that I have a small oil leak coming from what looks like a cover thats facing the oil plug. I dont know how it got there unless its been scraped on something. Is that the fly wheel or converter cover? Would engine oil come out of there? Thanks

That is the dust cover for the flywheel/torque converter. It does have a small hole(1/4" or so) in the front lower edge. If there is engine oil coming from there, it could be from a rear main seal, oil pan gasket, oil galley plugs in the rear of the engine block, or it could be leaking from the back of the intake manifold, and running down. You can remove the cover an look up in there to get a better idea of where the leak is.

Is that a major undertaking or not. I haven't had my 82 vette very long. I know theres going to be problems from time to time. Thanks
