Hey Folks,
Ran across this on the 'net regarding how to build some homemade portable lifts/ramps for your garage.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on 'em. What do you think?
Thanks,

I saw those before. Scary. Needs to be channellized so you can't drive off and either bolted to the floor or secured with X bracing between them. I also don't like the idea that I couldn't get out from under it except at the long ends. Parts or fluids start falling, I want a quick escape route.
I don't know about those...
I know I wouldn't crawl under there - that setup doesn't look entirely stable.

SHADY! I seen those awhile back too. Good initiative but bad judgement on those. Banged nails for a few years and I wouldn't crawl under them even if I had built/overbuilt them. But hey each is own. Me, I just don't wanna go out like squashed bug, if I can help it.

hhmmmmm....this monicker looks familiar. I've seen it somewhere else recently...possibly a C3VR member...
Reading the description of the build makes them seem a bit less deadly....more like a ladder framing type deal, with plywood/osb on the sides. Ramps might need a little redesign, tho...look kinda flimsy to me.

Hey Joel,
No agenda here...if that's what you were inferring...
This is where I originally saw the ramps...
I just saved it as a PDF and put a link to it in MY stuff so as not to put a link to another C3 site.
Thanks,

No prob, Jeff! I just knew I had seen that name before, but couldn't remember who it was!
It makes more sense now. I just didn't want a C3VR member getting hammered too bad on the design of that set-up.
