I went to Afghanistan and got COMBAT PAY!!! Instead of new clothes and furniture, my wife bought the car she knew I was looking for, it was waiting for me when I got home!!

Paid cash for the car, cash for the new engine, cash for the misc parts. Just paid cash for a bunch of new interior pieces sitting in the garage. I sense a pattern here...

A loan from the teacher's credit union. That was before Debbie got sick. She was TICKED, I did it without telling her first. Then I pointed out that the frozen drinks that she got a couple of each day, when added up, totaled more in 3 years than I spent on the the Vette in the 3 year loan. That really didn't make her any happier. She got over it.
Found mine (a white 77) in a neighbors garage. It had been parked
for 5 years. My 10 yr old grandson was with me and said "
Grandpa, that's the coolest car I've ever seen". I told him that
when he was 16, it was his. He's 14 now . I actually
swapped labor on my neighbors kitchen remodel for the car. As you
can imagine, after 5 years it required everything with seals.
I've put about 3 grand in it and still have a little to do. It's
been great fun for me and my grandson. Well worth the
investment. I think I'm going to miss it. Maybe he'll let
me borrow it from time to time.

oh wait ,,, wrong poll. that's how I paid for my C2 ...
and the first question from my wife was ....
"why didn't you get the 67 427 ?"
gotta love that view of the world !
Well I sold my 84 in March; then I located the 64 I had sold in 1997. ... in September me and my check book agreed to pay cash for the 77 and continue to save change and rebates for parts; I'm happy, hope the car is with me.
