Thanks for the diagram Joel, It looks like I may be able to undo the lt blue wire on the door jamb switch to keep it from grounding and the alarm from going off. The relay only has 3 wires but the anti theft module has 10 for everything including radio and accys. It is fused so I am going to give it a shot . I will inform everyone of the results. thanks for Everything !!!

Just curious I have never had an alarm function or malfunction...does every 81 have an alarm system or was it an option

Yes standard first year of the starter interlock. Mine never worked till one day it went crazy !! Gremlins !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disconnected the relay under the console plate on my 79. No more alarm gremlins...

I am the original owner of my '80. I think the alarm only worked for about a year. And the relay is under the console on mine, too.

I'm thinking I missed my calling defusing bombs !!!! Which wire to cut ??? Cut the lt Blue wire on the drivers side door jamb switch by pulling the kick panel NO More gremlins !!!!!
