Kinda cool with metric guages I'll bet. A conversation area for sure! :) Good ? on the "WHY", I have no clue. That is weird. I got REALLY lucky. I'm the 3rd owner and I've got all the original paperwork on her. From the window sticker to the CSI card that shoulda gone back to the factory! And what's really cool Debbie is that all the stock numbers are still under the hood! Boy was I paranoid about those numbers with her in the paint shop! |eek| It'll be fun watching yours coming together! |thumb|

Very Kewl on the stock numbers..I didn't have any of that...the car had be repainted..so alot of ''little'' things (I guess) got covered up.

I can't WAIT till this PROJECT is over with!! |laugh| Been forever getting to this point! ..the body is nearing completion but still have the interior to do!!! gonna be at least another year (or 2) before it is complete....but knowing me...I doubt that is possible! ALWAYS something new to do/add! |thumb|

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
I found a small paper under the drivers seat, floor carpet, but I'm not sure what it is for. It is only 2 1/2x3 inches. It has some numbers on it, I'll check it and try to figure it out

QUOTE|RXWHITE74 said: I finally took off my leaking gas tank last night. Yep, low and behold, there was the build sheet. Not very easy to read and not complete, but I know it was built for a dealership in Va. I havent had a chance to try to clean it up a little for more details because I was beat when I got done, not to mention covered with dust and gas. |hammer||/QUOTE|

Hey that's really neat that you found stuff! How bad is the condition? I found a little piece of paper under the seats shortly after I bought her, just laying there. It's about the size of a fortune cookie paper and has numbers on it. I'm fairly sure it's just part numbers. lol

Hey Dar, the build sheet is the size of a regular letter, 81/2 x 11. I looked at mine again last night, unfortunately, I can only read about half of it. About half of it is faded, the other half is decent.

The back sides of the original carpet (in 1970) had paper tags on them - They have the part numnber / color code / date code. I found one under the rear carpet in my '70. The one I found said J.P. Stevens and Co. I'm not sure if they were using the same supplier later or not. ~Juliet

Hey Juliet, like I said mine's about the size of a fortune cookie paper. Got it now... It's got rounded edges and the numbers A 82 223 7 Just like that with those spaces. Is there any way that I can find out what those are for? Like a website to run them or something?

Hey Dar, I am so sorry for you. A blonde huh? My daughter is a blonde. |blinkyeyes| We have called her Granny since she was about 4. Must be a blonde thing. I did think that you had the impression that the build sheet was very small. Sorry, again. I know that not all blondes are,...well BLONDE.
