ok, so I won't mention that I went home for lunch today and drove the vette back to work - with the top down.....oh, wait..........

For the 78 to 82 as you know, there is no where to put a luggage rack because of the back glass bubble. This is an ugly piece of injection molded plastic that fits in four mounting holes in the tail section. There is a main center section that goes up on the glass with rubber feet and two outboard pieces. The t-tops lay in these pieces and are strapped from the top.
I'll try to get a pic up later this week.

Oh, I see Dennis.
I didn't even know you could get something like that for a "bubble window vette."
Very interesting! Heck, I live in the dark ages, remember my car is a lot older than yours, poor decrepit thingy.

I've see a 82CE with one installed
But I am glad for ya.I bet a year from now you will put it back on ebay and hpoefully make a few bucks. The guy I talked to said it was way more trouble than it was worth. Then again He had a CE so it did interfere with his back hatch.

feels great when you get that part you really wanted especially if its
a great price. just won the chrome hinges for my hood, used very little
and paid a tad over half of what new ones cost. glad to hear you got
what you wanted and hope you enjoy it.
