Yes I hit a wall. Not with a car either.
I find myself with no ambition to go out to the shed and work on my car. Yes the shed is heated but to get to it I have to walk outside, either thru about 10 inches of snow or clean a path which means shovel or get the snow blower out which I spent to many hours the last 2 weeks using. I have so much work that needs done out there but really cant get myself energized to get out there. I am not being held up by any parts I am waiting for, its just lack of desire to get out there in this weather. How about the rest of you guys in the cold snowy north, can I be the only one with this problem?
Oh yea, this addiction to C3VR is not helping at all either. Now I'll sit here today checking for your replys! I think I need help!

I have found that, if you are having trouble getting motivated to do anything on your car, it's time to take a break. That ol' "every evening/all weekend" thrash can get to ya...btdt. You certainly do not wanna get burnt out on the project before it's finished. I say take a break...rejuvenate yerself.

I need to get out and run the tractor over the yards to clean up the tree leaves...it's in the '70s here today! I also need to get the Goldwing out and do some cleanin on it, and I need to un-cover the '74 and start doing some stuff on it to get ready for the Gathering in May.
What I'll prolly wind up doing is sitting here watching a movie or something all day...

No Rod your not crazy,LOLit's the winter blahs,I've got the same problem although my Vette isn't at my house right now,I keep it in storage at my Dads house during the winter about 15 miles away.I make conjugal visits during the winter while my Dad is in Florida, and I check on his house.I do have other projects to do in my garage and heat out there, but unless it is an emergency repair out there I just can't be bothered till spring, just back the truck and Mama's car in it and shut the door, spring will be here soon enoughClapLOL

Rod, it's a documented medical fact that loss of sunlight ray bands affect your system. I had a freind that had a room in his basement with special lights just for the condition. His doctor had him install it, he told the doctor that was bull.....his doctor brought up his past history file that proved it, this same condition had happened over and over. Once those snow clouds go away and you get some good rays you'll be back in bizz. In the mean time brush up on some how to articles in vette fever site. Treat yourself to a new vette mag of photo book. The mo-jo will come back but for now do what Doctor Joel said..................chill..........in doors.

Went through the same thing with my 73 Honda CB350. Have had the electronic ignition for it since fall. Just this week did I get back to it and start the install. I also replaced the top end leaking gaskets.
I say just take a break. When you get back to it just pace yourself so it is enjoyable and not viewed as a must do or job.Wink

Vette(s): White '79 Corvette. It's a driver.

Mine winters in a detached, unheated garage. I do little or nothing to it during these cold, snowy months.

When spring hits I get the "fever" once again and scratch a few items off the "to do" list.

For now I start it and pump the brakes every 10 days or so. That'll have to do.

Rodney, take a nice break and enjoy the Vette when you feel like it again.

Kevin

SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
Don't feel bad.  I walk past "The Beast" and "BIGBRRD" multiple times a day and know I should fire up the space heater to get a few things done ("The Toy" is off-site for the white months).  Just too many other things to do this time of year - like shoveling snow...!!!

The good news is there is more daylight every day so spring isn't very far away...!!!

You'll get there Rodney! Its a good idea to walk away for a little bit. Hey, go play some golf  Rolling On The Floor Laughing ! When I get stuck I pull out all the Corvette catalogs and dream about all the stuff I want to buy and do. You know, you COULD pay a little attention to the little lady. That could pay HUGE dividends later!
