The guy thats been doing the work on my ZZ4 install, who has been doing everything else but my car, called last night and said the fire dept. has closed him down. I have to have my car out by this Friday, engine is in but not running (no Elec. no fuel lines, & etc.). So now I have to go nuts to find someone to do the rest of the work and also a trailer or roll back to move the car. He said "he feels bad about it so he won't charge me for the work he's done so far" I felt like saying "I would not have paid it anyway!"
My friend who had a Corvette shop but sold it and retired said he would do it for me. Man I owe him big time. I hope all this is done in time for the Hot Springs trip.
Sorry but I had to vent
. I'll let you know how the move goes, my friend is trying to find a truck or a trailer we can use, otherwise I have to pay for a flat bed to take it about 30 miles.

Sorry to hear of your problem, Dave. With all the trouble he was having on your car, it may be better to have someone else work on it. I'm sure it will all work out fine and you'll be cruisin the streets. Best of luck and see ya in Hot Springs.

Man Oh Man!!!,
That just plain STINKS!!!
This is probably a blessing in disguise. Think of how many Corvettes just sit there because the mechanic keeps putting off some work he may not understand. And then the owner is in the difficult position of waitin' it out or paying for what was done so far.
Hopefully your buddy can get it done for you.
You KNOW everyone here is pullin' for ya.
My friend would have gotten the job in the first place if he was still in the business. He is getting back into it on a lower level just for a little extra cash here & there. He has a 2 bay shop with lifts that he uses for his own personal stuff, and he will do the work there. At least here I can jump in when ever I want to help out.
Boy, this better be worth it!

Thanks, I appriciate the offer. I trust this guy, he's good. All he does is Vettes. You should see his car, a '63 fuely vert. 4 speed, dark blue, red interior, and a white top. There's only like 3 left with that color combo.
He won 1st. place at Carlisle with it. Also was picked by Duntov as his personal favorite at a show, has photos with him, and he signed his visor for him. Been in lots of mags. So he knows his stuff.
