Vette(s): 1982 Corvette Collector Edition - 450 mile original!

I found some time yesterday to go give some TLC to the cars I have under wraps here in town.  My plan was to start them all up, and move them around a bit just to get the fluids moving.

But once I got there, the whole two hours was spent on the '82 CE.  I dropped the battery in, and it fired right up.  Worked the headlights, A/C, power seats/windows/locks/mirror, all systems go.  Even though it's just got 454 miles on it, I know how old these parts are.

Then somehow I just lost the next 90 minutes looking at the car - Under it, inside it, under the hood, you name it.  I did a little detailing as I went, and the next thing I know my wife is ringing me asking when I'm coming home.

Is it just me, or does anyone else just magically lose track of time admiring their C3.  I've loved them for as long as I can remember, and just can't get enough of them.  I've had C4 and C5 cars, but the C3 puts the biggest smiles on my face.

Maybe it is just my age but the C3 is what a Vette is supposed to look like.  There is absolutely no doubt what it is when it comes around the corner.

I am with you all the way on that one . Several evenings Suzy has come home and has asked me to pull the cars out so she can sit and look at them. Thats actually how my pic.s got taken. I spent probably an hour today just sitting and looking at the 71 thinking about the guy that drove that baby off the showroom floor.

Midwest Muscle - they're even more fun to drive. Why not pick up another C3 to drive? That way you can look and feel it in the seat of your pants.

Very nice Vette indeed!

There's a guy here in town with a really nice 4-speed '76 C3.  I prefer the 80-82 cars, but if he came to a good price I'd do it just to have one to drive.  I've owned several Vettes, all of them drivers (excluding the '82 CE that I own now).

I'm currently installing hardwood floors in my oldest daughter's room. In between washing "the baby" and playing with checking on things.

We all have the same symptoms to this illness
