Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Convertible. 350/350HP engine, power steering, 4 speed, burgundy exterior, black interior, black top, stainless steel brakes and optional hardtop. Rally wheels.

I'd love to drive US 1 to Key west, FL with the top down and plenty of sunshine!!!

You guy's are killing me ! I live in sunny Fort Lauderdale and take the vette out for a blast at least 2 or 3 times a week. I can't afford the gas for anymore. All the places that were mentioned I am dreaming about as I type this.
One of my favorite roads has to be the Blue Ridge Parkway, especially around Asheville, N.C. just breathtaking.

If you ever make the drive down the Keys, at the north end, turn left, (EAST) towards the toll bridge on Card Sound Road.

Yes, it's "out of the way". But you'll ditch some of the traffic for several miles. And yes, you'll have to pay a small toll.

But before you pay that toll stop and have lunch at Alabama Jack's.

Gator tail, conch fries, cold Corona...

And even if you don't get to chance to see a Florida panther or a crocodile, yes crocodile, not aligator, you won't be sorry you took the route less traveled!!  Thumbs%20Up

I didn't drive them Micki... they were just lonely... Naw, I went out an stuck my new SS alternator cover on the Zombie. I also placed the OBJECTS IN THE MIRROR ARE LOSING decal on the drivers mirror.

I got the Zombie out today and my wife an I drove to the DQ for 2 Mint Oreo Blizzards. Top down an everything. AHHHH LIFE IS GOOD AGAIN!

Both of those roads mentioned (rte.1 to Key West and rte.66) are in my dreams to travel once I have finished the vette.Clap But before I do that, I have to finish building my garage, then I'll finish rebuilding my vette and hopefully the fuel prices won't be to ridiculous. Approve

PCH is great. As is Virginia's Skyline Drive. (I drove it with the tops off just last week!! Thumbs%20Up

If you want some wide open country, I'd suggest US 50 East of Carson City, NV. They call that stretch "The Lonliest Road in America".

There has already been a nomination for "The Dragon's Tail".

I might also reccommend New York's Finger Lakes region to tour the wineries, and catch a race at Watkins Glen.
