Vette(s): 1980 Corvette L48,4 Spd., Yellow/ Doeskin Lthr 17"x 9.5 Centerlines
Hi Everybody:
I'm new here to C3vr. I have been referred here by Paso. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.
I own a Yellow/Doeskin leather 1980 Corvette. It has the L48, 4 Spd. I just recently put on 17" x 9.5 centerlines wheels. These wheels have a 5" backspace which caused me the install Moroso 2 7/8" longer wheel studs with a 3/8" custom aluminum spacer. We all know how simple it is to remove rear corvette spindle axle's which have never been off the car since new. Anyways, I had it entirely painted 2 summers ago with all decals replaced and weatherstripping.
Thanks for reading......btw this is my 1st post
Darcy |cheers|

Welcome to the forum. I love yellow on corvettes! That color was getting pretty rare by the end of the C3 run wasn't it? I have a friend with a yellow 81 with the oyster interior. Very sharp looking car. I was almost tempted to get one of those instead of my yellow C4, but I had to have another convertible. Glad you found us. |rollysmile|

Welcome to the forum. This is a friendly bunch of people. Is this your first vette? There is an expression: It's not a car it's a way of life. Enjoy your new car. Joe

Hello Darcy,
Sounds like you've got a nice vette there and are doing alot of modifications to it. It should give you alot of great afternoons in the garage or in the backyard working on it. Everyone around here knows me as Vettelooker. All the guys give me a hard time because I try to keep my vette all original, but enjoy what you've got and have fun with what you have.

Hi Darcy

Welcome to the forum.
Yes, post some pics. We all need to see your vette.
What a great car, only problem is that it takes nearly as many hours fixing it than driving it. |laugh|
This at least counts for myne.
Thought , I had it all working well now and during todays cruise, the radiator started to leak.
|cussing|
So, an other 30 $ out for getting it repaired, not to talk about the hours for removal/installation.
Have fun. Gunther
