the only information I have is from this web page
www.intermeccanica.org/vehicles/flint/flint.htm
the page has an picture and this article.
In 77-83, Chevy only made hardtop Corvettes. Ron decided to design a convertible. Intermeccanica made a few for Ron but eventually made 35 total. Heinz Precter with ASC hired Intermeccanica and Ron to develop and produce a 1984 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. They sold the project to General Motors which became the 1985 (and later) Chevrolet factory convertible. Flint went on to start his own company called Flint Concepts.
I have an 81 convertible # 24 of the 35 made.
I was planning to do an ls1 mod but I'm not sure if I should now. Any info. or advice would be great. thanks

It is possible to go with the LS1 and have no irreversable changes. The only way to do it would be to buy another drive shaft. That is the only part that HAD to be modified. It had to be shortened three inches.
